Side B

Anecdotes from the Estate: Our philosophy is to minimize our carbon footprint in our professional activities, which means that working in the vineyard is longer but also, in a way, much more satisfying! “Wine always reflects its terroir.” The Estate's Story: Originally from Lyon, Séverin studied in Burgundy for eight enriching years, filled with experiences and wonderful encounters that only strengthened his passion for the world of wine. Driven by his dream, Séverin decided to make a living from his passion and produce his own wines. Friendship led him to the Pyrénées-Orientales region, and more specifically to the village of Calce. There, he discovered the wines of great finesse and elegance produced by the winemakers of Calce. It was then a natural choice for him to settle in this small mountain village. The terroir of Calce boasts immense diversity (schist, marly schist, calcareous marl), making it an atypical and quite unique territory. Séverin, driven by the desire to produce high-quality wines, has opted for organic and biodynamic viticulture. The pride of Domaine Face B lies in its 4 hectares of vines in the unique territory of Calce, which offers an immense diversity of terroirs. The schist, combined with marl and limestone, allows for the creation of highly distinctive single-vineyard wines. The vines are cultivated organically and are currently undergoing conversion. Most of the work is done manually, including pruning, spring work, treatments (organic, of course), and harvesting. The aim is to minimize the ecological footprint of my professional activity.
