Champagne Robert-Allait
Anecdotes from the Estate: At Champagne Robert-Allait, we love nature! To further their efforts to preserve the ecosystems present on the vineyard, the winemaking family decided to install beehives on the estate. In March 2018, they introduced swarms of bees to preserve the plant biodiversity on the property. Bees play a key role in pollinating the flowers that make up the vineyard. A Little History of the Estate: The Robert family has been established in the Champagne region for five generations. Today, Sylvie and Régis, along with their children Stéphanie and Aurélien, develop and perpetuate the business in the vineyards and the cellar. In 1993, Régis and Sylvie created two new cuvées to expand their range of champagnes. They will name these two new 2014 vintage wines after their children. The Stéphanie cuvée is presented in a very feminine bottle: it is a Blanc de Blancs that is both floral and delicate with a beautiful golden color. The Jordan cuvée is a blend of three grape varieties, resulting in a fruity and powerful vintage, round on the palate with a more masculine style. The first commercially released vintages of these two wines were 1993 and 1995. The pride of the estate: Our family vineyard has been located in Villiers-sous-Châtillon for over five generations. We cultivate our 14 hectares of vines planted on south-facing slopes spread across six surrounding villages. The grape varieties planted are classic for the region: Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir. We work the vineyard with respect for the environment and, above all, for the animal and plant species present in the vineyard. This is what earned us the High Environmental Value (HVE3) level 3 and Sustainable Viticulture certifications. We use no pesticides or fertilizers, we manage water responsibly, and we maintain strong biodiversity on our vineyards. By following these principles, we produce champagnes that express the terroir of our vines. We offer sparkling wine enthusiasts nine different cuvées, ranging from rosé to zero dosage, including vintage champagnes.
