Cited among the oldest and most renowned wines of the appellation, it was considered a Premier Cru Classé by the wine trade at the beginning of the 20th century. The pride of the estate: Château La Rame, facing due south on clay-limestone slopes composed of fossilized oyster beds from the Tertiary period, has been managed by Angélique and Grégoire Armand since 2009.
