Located in the Corbières Maritimes, not far from the Bages lagoons and nestled between scrubland and pine forests, Château Valmont is a growing vineyard that now boasts 30 hectares of vines. It wasn't easy, but overall, we are satisfied with our work. Today, we are proud to offer a comprehensive wine list that blends Alsatian and Corbières wines. The estate's history: In 2015, the younger generation of the Ruhlmann-Schutz family acquired a vineyard located south of Narbonne, in the commune of Peyriac-de-Mer. Their stated ambition was quite simple: to produce Corbières red wines that would successfully complement their already extensive collection of fine Alsatian wines. The pride of Château Valmont is its 30-hectare vineyard, nestled near the Bages lagoons, between garrigue and pine forest. Located just outside the village of Peyriac-de-Mer, the estate produces exceptional red, white, and rosé Corbières wines from emblematic grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Mourvèdre, Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Cinsault, etc.). Our terroir is silty, clay-limestone, and dotted with pebbles. We practice organic farming and are also certified HVE Level 3.
