Our opinion on the vintage
This wine boasts an intense purple hue that immediately catches the eye. On the nose, fresh aromas of ripe fruit mingle delicately with peppery notes. On the palate, the Syrah grape fully expresses itself with a beautiful length and pronounced fruitiness. The generous finish leaves lingering floral notes of violet, offering a harmonious and balanced tasting experience.
Les Vins de Vienne is a winery founded in 1996 by three winemaker friends from the Rhône Valley: Yves Cuilleron, Pierre Gaillard, and François Villard. Their project began with the replanting of the historic **Seyssuel** vineyard, which had disappeared after phylloxera, to produce their first vintage in 1998. The estate then expanded to various northern Rhône Valley terroirs.
The company cultivates approximately 20 to 28 hectares of vines across several important appellations (Côte Rôtie, Condrieu, Saint-Joseph, Saint-Péray, Cornas, Crozes-Hermitage, Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Châteauneuf-du-Pape, etc.) and also produces IGP wines from the Collines Rhodaniennes. Dominant grape varieties include Syrah, Viognier, Marsanne, and Roussanne, complemented by other varieties depending on the terroir. Les Vins de Vienne markets their wines, which are produced and vinified in Chavanay, and offers a tasting cellar accessible by appointment or during specified hours.
The project is built around the three founders' shared passion for the Rhône terroir, combining
