Located in Touraine, on the banks of the Cher river, Château de Fontenay is an estate whose winemaking history dates back to the late 17th century. The first vines were established in 1680, while the château, rebuilt in the late 19th century after a fire, now forms an ancient heritage complex in the heart of a wooded park.

The estate was taken over in 2006 by the Carli family, who partnered with Didier Corby, who was already in charge of the vineyard as a craftsman-vigneron. This collaboration led to a continuity of style, based on respect for the work previously undertaken and a faithful interpretation of Touraine's terroirs. The vineyard is managed using sustainable practices, with attention to the environment and the longevity of the soil.
