Le Domaine du Séminaire is a family vineyard located in Valréas (84600, Vaucluse) in the Enclave des Papes, north of the Rhône Valley. It covers approximately 60 hectares of vines between 300 and 400 meters above sea level on clay-limestone and sandy soils. Viticulture is organic and close to biodynamic. The winery, built in 1938, has been modernized over time and harvests are manual.
The estate produces reds, whites, and rosés under the Côtes-du-Rhône and Côtes-du-Rhône Villages Valréas appellations, using Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Carignan, Viognier, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette, and Grenache Blanc grape varieties. Winemaking prioritizes indigenous yeasts and minimal inputs. The Pouizin family is the fourth generation of winemakers, and the estate has had a tasting room open since 2007.
