Our opinion on the vintage
An elegant nose of white fruit and lightly toasted notes. A full and balanced palate, carried by a lovely freshness. A long and refined finish.
Domaine Jessiaume is a historic vineyard located in Santenay (21590), in the Côte de Beaune. It was established in 1850 by the Jessiaume family and spans approximately 15 hectares across Santenay, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Auxey-Duresses, and Chassey-le-Camp. The largest parcel is Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières. The estate was acquired by Sir David Murray in 2007 and then taken over in 2020 by Dr. Jean-François Le Bigot with the technical team led by William Waterkeyn. Viticulture is organic, with manual harvests and winemaking practices that respect the terroir.
The red wines are made from Pinot Noir and the white wines from Chardonnay, with some Aligoté parcels. Appellations include Santenay, Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières, Auxey-Duresses, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, and other regional Burgundy appellations. The wines are renowned for their finesse, balance, and aromatic expression of the terroir.
