Our opinion on the vintage
This crisp, dry white wine reveals subtle aromas of exotic fruits and white flowers on the nose. On the palate, its light texture and lively acidity offer a lovely freshness, with citrus notes and a touch of minerality on the finish. Ideal for pairing with seafood and grilled fish, it evokes convivial summer moments spent in good company.
Florian Le Capitaine is a young winemaker based in Rochecorbon, in the Vouvray appellation (Loire). He cultivates approximately 6 hectares of vines on clay-limestone soils and manages his vineyard organically with biodynamic conversion or practices, without herbicides or insecticides, working the soil mechanically. He comes from a family of winemakers and worked for several years for the family estate before starting his own business.
The wines produced are primarily white wines based on Chenin Blanc, including cuvées such as Les Aumônes (dry or off-dry), vinified with minimal intervention and aged on lees. The practices implemented reflect a low-intervention approach and a pursuit of pure expression of the Vouvray terroir.
