Our opinion on the vintage
This Bourgogne Chardonnay Les Essentielles Blanc reveals an elegant and subtle nose, where aromas of pear and white peach mingle, underscored by mineral notes. On the palate, its deep and rich texture gives way to a beautiful freshness, offering a balanced and delicate sensory experience. Its complexity and length on the palate undeniably make it a great wine, ideal for pairing with fine and delicate dishes.
Les Vignerons de Mancey is a cooperative winery founded in 1929 by Victor Chapuis, bringing together winegrowers from several villages around Mancey, Royer, and Vers, a few kilometers from Tournus in Southern Burgundy. It gathers approximately 50 winegrowers spread over nearly 120 hectares of vineyards located on the slopes of the Mâconnais region. The winery aims to be a production site but also a meeting and welcoming point centered around wine, offering visits, tastings, and wine tourism activities.
Production primarily involves classic Burgundian grape varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Aligoté, and Gamay, yielding wines under the Mâcon white, Mâcon red, Mâcon-Mancey, and Bourgogne red appellations, as well as Crémant de Bourgogne produced on site with manual harvesting and aging tailored to each cuvée. The winemaking process allows for the creation of various ranges, from fresh and light wines to characterful wines from old vines, as well as prestige cuvées.
