Our opinion on the cuvée
This red wine, made from a Mediterranean grape variety, offers an intense bouquet of red fruits and spices, with a hint of garrigue. On the palate, it is warm and full-bodied, with silky tannins and a lovely finish. Its velvety texture and lingering finish evoke convivial meals featuring authentic cuisine. Served slightly chilled, it pairs perfectly with grilled meat or a slow-cooked dish.

Le Jas des Papes
Rhône Valley
|
France
Le Jas des Papes is a 9-hectare estate located east of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, primarily in the area known as Les Saumades. Stemming from the Rhône Valley's winemaking tradition, the estate was acquired in 2014 by Michel Audibert, a 5th-generation winemaker, after a century of family roots in Provence. Today, Sébastien Philibert and JP Meuwesen are dedicated to crafting the wines. The vineyard boasts a great diversity of soils, ranging from sands to rolled pebbles, sometimes intermingled within the same plot. Each plot selection is isolated and vinified separately to optimize the vine's contribution. The old Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault, and Clairette vines fully express the terroir's identity. The estate has been certified organic since 2017 and works exclusively within the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation.
