Château Beauchêne
Located near the city of Orange, under the Provençal sun, Château Beauchêne is a family estate that has been passed down for over 200 years. While the château dates back to the 15th century, the vineyard truly developed in the last century with the arrival of the Vergniaud-Bernard family, stemming from a long line of winemakers. Today, managed by Michel and Dominique Bernard, joined by their daughter Amandine, the 11th generation of the estate, the vineyard spans 70 hectares across Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Côtes du Rhône Villages, and Côtes du Rhône appellations. Some parcels, planted as early as 1901 after the phylloxera crisis, attest to the importance placed on old vines. The work undertaken aims for a natural balance between terroir and grape varieties, with particular attention paid to the environment, biodiversity, and soil health. These commitments are now recognized by the High Environmental Value (HVE) certification, reflecting a sustainable viticulture that respects living ecosystems.
