Clos Des Vins d’Amour

March 2024

Vin de France | White | 2024

The Dornier family followed their passion for the vine and the Maury terroir to produce Maury appellation wines, both dry and sweet, made from Grenache Blanc, Gris, Noir, and Carignan grapes. Cultivating organically since 2008, they emphasize the importance of raw material quality in their wines. This holistic approach to the terroir and nature is evident in every bottle, offering a natural balance and a purity of expression of the Maury Cru. MAR, a wine that reflects the straightforwardness of Grenache and the expression of the Roussillon terroir, is a perfect choice to accompany your meals.

Our opinion on the vintage

This wine has a very pale color and a fresh nose with delicate floral aromas. On the palate, it offers a beautiful balance with a luscious and particularly pleasant sensation. Perfect to accompany an aperitif, seafood, or fish, this young wine is ideal for enjoying its freshness. Best served chilled to fully appreciate its subtlety.

Now run by the Dornier family, the estate spans three major and complementary sectors: Tautavel, Maury, and Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, all characterized by demanding schist soils, emblematic of northern Roussillon.

The vineyard is predominantly planted with Grenache (black, grey, and white), complemented by old Carignan, as well as Macabeu and Syrah depending on the plots. These contrasting terroirs allow for a subtle interpretation of the Maury appellations, both in dry wines and natural sweet wines, with constant attention paid to balance rather than showiness.

Organic farming, initiated in 2008, is part of a holistic approach to living things. Soil work is mostly manual, attentive to natural rhythms and biodiversity. The objective is not intervention for its own sake, but the search for a lasting balance between the vine, the soil, and the climate, an essential ... Lire plus
