On the outskirts of Perpignan, where the city still meets the vineyards, lies one of the last wine estates, thriving on a passion passed down for over four generations. Family-run and committed to organic farming, the estate protects a fragile natural environment, cultivating the vine as a precious heritage.

Our opinion on the vintage
Intense nose of black fruit, spices, and garrigue. Full-bodied, structured, and sun-drenched on the palate, balanced by a lovely freshness. Long and warm finish.
Located in Roussillon, between maritime influences and the foothills of the Pyrenees, Domaine Rière Cadène is a family estate whose winemaking history dates back to the early 20th century. The estate took its current form in 1994, when Laurence and Jean-François Rière took over the family vineyard and began extensive work on the quality of the plots and the understanding of the terroirs.
The vineyard is spread across several complementary sectors of Roussillon, offering great geological diversity.
The white grapevines are located in Espira-de-l’Agly, on schist and black marl soils, which bring tension and depth to the wines.
The structured red wines come from the limestone terraces of Calce, a terroir known for its ability to produce dense yet balanced wines.
The more luscious red wines come from the rolled pebbles of the Têt valley, around Perpignan, providing suppleness and immediate fruit.
