Domaine Sangouard Guyot is located in Vergisson, nestled between the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson in the Mâconnais region. The family's history dates back to the 18th century, and the estate was modernized when Pierre-Emmanuel Sangouard took over in 1997, followed by the merger with the Guyot family's lands in 2000. The vineyard is managed using sustainable viticulture practices, with some plots certified High Environmental Value (HVE).
The estate cultivates approximately 15 hectares of Chardonnay to produce white wines under the Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon-Vergisson, Mâcon-Bussières, and Mâcon-Villages appellations. Vinification methods vary by cuvée, utilizing temperature-controlled tanks or oak barrels, with aging on lees. The wines reflect the clay-limestone terroir, exhibiting finesse, minerality, and the typical aromatic profile of Mâconnais Chardonnay.
