Folch 2023

Burgundy | Red | 2023

Domaine de Cardon, founded in 2013 by Thierry Bied, Pierre Pouguet, and Frédérique de Cardon on the Côte Chalonnaise, quickly established itself among the greats, recently winning Silver and Gold medals. Cultivating Burgundian grape varieties such as Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on clay-limestone soils in Mercurey, this historic estate offers authentic and balanced terroir wines. A modern renaissance of a centuries-old family tradition, to be discovered without delay.

Our opinion on the cuvée

This wine displays a light ruby color and reveals red fruit aromas on the nose. On the palate, it is supple from the outset, offering a pleasant texture. Perfect for pairing with grilled dishes, poultry, red meats, and even desserts, it can be enjoyed now but has an interesting aging potential of 3 to 5 years.

The estate also cultivates Gamay on granitic soils located in the Chiroubles area, offering a complementary perspective on the vineyard.

Vineyard management prioritizes a meticulous, plot-by-plot approach, with particular attention paid to grape ripeness and ... Read more
