Domaine de Rotisson

Cuvée d'Antan 2023

Coteaux Bourguignons | Red | 2023

Domaine de Rotisson, located at an altitude of 320m in the village of Saint Germain Nuelles, offers tender and supple wines thanks to its clay-limestone soils, while its Coteaux terroirs yield more tannic, age-worthy wines. Practicing Terra Vitis sustainable agriculture since 2008, this estate prioritizes terroir and grape typicity in its winemaking. With a rich history dating back to the post-war period, Domaine de Rotisson is now managed by two ambitious entrepreneurial families, ready to pursue the qualitative and quantitative excellence of these wines. A wonderful promise of sharing and conviviality to discover in each of their bottles!

Our opinion on the cuvée

This wine displays a beautiful ruby color, with fresh red fruit notes, particularly raspberry, and a subtle hint of violet on the nose. On the palate, the flavors unfold intensely, offering rich red fruit aromas and a fine balance. The texture is pleasing, with an intensity of aromas and flavors that linger on the finish. It is ideal for pairing with poultry dishes, fish such as salmon, or slow-cooked dishes like veal or pork tenderloin, as well as soft cheeses like Brie de Meaux or Brillat-Savarin.

Anecdotes from the estate: Being a winemaker means living in close proximity to nature, possessing the gift of observing the plant and animal world, and applying this knowledge to the cultivation methods of one's vineyard. The estate was truly established after the Second World War and was managed by the Peillon family for several decades until Didier Pouget decided to acquire it in 1998. He ... Read more
