Vignobles Pelvillain is a family-run estate located in Albas in the Lot Valley, the historic heart of the Cahors vineyard. The family's viticultural origins date back to the 19th century, and the grandparents of the current generation passed on their land and vines to their daughter in 1968, allowing the family vineyard to develop during the revival of Cahors wine. The next generation, consisting of brothers Arnaud, Didier, and Francis Pelvillain, took over after 1993, then acquired the Domaine du Théron in Prayssac in 2013, bringing the total area to approximately 50 hectares. A trading house was established in 2016, complemented by the addition of Château Cayrouses in 2022.
The estate spans several terroirs around Albas and Prayssac, where soils vary between limestone, clay, pebbles, and sand, offering rich diversity for the vines. Production is primarily focused on the Cahors appellation (Malbec or Côt grape) and IGP Côtes du Lot
