Domaine Le Clos des Aumônes, located in Vouvray, offers a wide variety of white wines thanks to its clay-limestone and clay-siliceous soils, which impart roundness, freshness, and finesse, exclusively crafted from the Chenin Blanc grape variety. The wines, whether sparkling or still, reflect the expertise passed down through three generations and the passion of Benoit Coulon, an oenologist, for creating exceptional wines, perfect for pairing with seafood.

Our opinion on the cuvée
This white wine is distinguished by its clear color with green reflections. On the palate, the attack is fresh and mineral, bringing a beautiful sensation of liveliness. Perfectly paired with seafood or a white fish like cod en papillote, it will delight lovers of fine and elegant wines. A tasting that evokes freshness and lightness, ideal for convivial moments.
Located in Rochecorbon, at the gates of Tours, Clos des Aumônes is a 17-hectare estate situated on the Vouvray hillsides, on the right bank of the Loire. The vineyard, historically founded by the monks of Marmoutier in the 4th century, benefits from a particularly favorable south-facing exposure. Taken over in 2018 by Benoît Coulon, a trained oenologist, the estate is managed using sustainable agriculture with the ambition of revealing the full potential of Chenin Blanc. The soils are divided between clay-limestone, which provides roundness and length, and clay-siliceous with flint, known as “perruches,” which impart freshness and finesse to the wines. Exclusively planted with Chenin, the estate produces a complete range of Vouvray, including sparkling and still wines, from dry to sweet.
