Our opinion on the cuvée
This Pinot Noir boasts a youthful, promising purple hue. On the nose, typical cherry aromas delicately tickle the senses. On the palate, a supple and tender texture offers a light concentration, allowing the fruit to fully express itself. Perfect with grilled meats or a rib of beef, this wine will also enhance your unmarinated red meats and mild cheeses. An ideal choice for lovers of elegant and approachable wines.
Located in Saint-Bris-le-Vineux, at the heart of the Auxerrois vineyard, Domaine Grivot-Goisot is part of an ancient winemaking history, attested in this area since the 15th century. The estate, as it exists today, truly took shape after the Second World War, before being passed down from generation to generation within the Goisot family. In 2020, Anaëlle Goisot and René Grivot took over the family operation, ensuring its continuity.
The vineyard spans approximately 26 hectares, distributed across several emblematic appellations in northern Burgundy: Saint-Bris, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, Bourgogne Côte d’Auxerre, and Bourgogne Aligoté. Saint-Bris represents a regional singularity, as it is the only Burgundy appellation authorizing Sauvignon, cultivated here on Kimmeridgian limestone soils, similar to those of Chablis.
