Our opinion on the cuvée
This red wine reveals an expressive nose characterized by red fruits and spicy notes. On the palate, it offers a harmonious balance with a beautiful structure and a delightful finish, ideal for pairing with grilled meats, charcuterie, and convivial meals.
Château de l'Amiral is a wine estate located in Aigues-Vives, in the Aude department, at the heart of the AOP Minervois appellation in the Languedoc region. Situated on the Laure-Minervois plateau, the property is renowned for its historic buildings and its viticultural organization typical of large 19th-century estates.
The estate produces a range of red, white, and rosé wines typical of Minervois, as well as IGP Pays d'Oc cuvées, crafted from grape varieties suited to the diverse terroirs of the commune. Among the cultivated grape varieties are Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan for reds and rosés, and Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Marsanne for whites.
The terroir of Château de l'Amiral is based on a juxtaposition of varied soils, including gravelly conglomerates, sandy marl, and clayey marl, which influence the depth and texture of the wines, contributing to their
