This wine embodies the estate's philosophy, highlighting the authentic expression of its terroirs through the use of the finest old vines, controlled yields, and an environmentally respectful approach. Originating from a historic estate dating back to 1877 in Juliénas, this "Seigneur" cuvée from the Beaujolais Crus offers a unique granitic structure derived from the Moulin à Vent appellation. A true immersion in viticultural history and tradition, offering an exceptional tasting experience.
Based in Juliénas since 1877, the Perrachon family—one of the oldest winemaking families in the Beaujolais region—is now led by Laurent, Martine, Adrien, and Maxime, who produce several iconic wines: Juliénas, Morgon, Moulin-à-Vent, Chénas, Fleurie, Saint-Amour, and Beaujolais Villages. A wide range of wines, produced using traditional methods—hand-harvesting, goblet pruning—and deliberately low yields.
Nevertheless, Maxime Perrachon offers wines that are carefully crafted and available at attractive prices. The yield per vine in some of his plots is among the lowest in France—a philosophy of concentration that is reflected in the intensity and finesse of his wines.
