Our opinion on the cuvée
This orange wine displays a beautiful deep orange-yellow hue. The nose reveals lively, fruity aromas of citrus and bitter orange peel, with a hint of garrigue. On the palate, it is supple, elegant, crisp, and juicy. A perfect orange wine for everyday pairing.
Located in Jouques, north of the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, Domaine de la Mongestine is managed using organic and biodynamic farming practices. The vineyard is situated on a high-altitude plateau, in an environment that is cool for Provence, characterized by significant diurnal temperature variations.
The soils, predominantly clay-limestone, combined with the altitude and the influence of the winds, promote gradual ripening and naturally vibrant balances. The estate cultivates a range of Mediterranean grape varieties, adapted to this cooler context, with particular attention paid to preserving freshness and the clarity of their expressions.
Vinifications are conducted with restraint, favoring gentle extractions and subtle aging, so as not to mask the identity of the grapes.
