Our opinion on the cuvée
An intense nose of honey, candied fruit, and citrus. A smooth palate, balanced by a lovely freshness. A long, indulgent finish.
Located in Sauternes, 45 km southeast of Bordeaux, Vignobles Philippe Mercadier comprises three estates spanning 47 hectares across five communes within the appellation. The family’s history began in 1940 with a fascination for these exceptional lands. After managing a Premier Cru Classé estate inherited from his grandfather, Philippe Mercadier acquired three properties between 1992 and 2001 to restore them to their former glory.
Today, Paul and Émilie Mercadier continue this work, striving for a contemporary interpretation of Sauternes—precision, balance, and freshness. As the only vineyard from the appellation in our lineup, it offers a wonderful introduction to the world of sweet Bordeaux wines.
