Located in the hills above Bandol, Château Canadel has been run since 2009 by Laure and Vianney, young winemakers driven by a desire to preserve and pass on this exceptional terroir. After several years spent getting to know the terraced vineyards and exploring every plot, they built their winery in 2014 to produce wines that reflect their vision. The vineyard, nestled against the hillside and facing due south, consists of 98 terraces resting on ancient Triassic soils, a blend of limestone, clay, and marl. The vines, ranging from 20 to 60 years old, are cultivated with deep respect for the life of the soil. Farmed biodynamically since 2014 and currently in the process of converting to organic farming, the estate prioritizes the pure expression of the terroir in both red and rosé wines. The winery, designed to operate by gravity, helps preserve the freshness, balance, and richness of the wines.
