Our opinion on the cuvée

An elegant bouquet of white flowers, pear, and a hint of butter. The palate is full-bodied, precise, and driven by a lovely mineral edge. The finish is long and briny, making it ideal with fish or creamy poultry dishes.

Château de Lavernette

Château de Lavernette

Beaujolais | France

Château de Lavernette is a historic estate located at the crossroads of the Mâconnais and Beaujolais regions, in the communes of Chaintré and Leynes. An ancient seigneury founded in 1596, the estate previously belonged to the monks of Tournus Abbey, where vines already held a central role. Today, the property is owned by the de Boissieu family, direct descendants of the de Lavernette family. Xavier de Boissieu represents the thirteenth generation to produce wine on these lands. Since 2005, he has worked alongside his wife Kerrie, an American oenologist, combining their experiences and sensibilities. Since then, the vineyard has been managed using organic and biodynamic farming practices, respecting the environment to produce wines deeply marked by their terroirs.
