Château Meyre

Château Meyre

Bordeaux

Château Meyre is a historic estate whose origins date back to the 15th century, located at the gateway to the Médoc. Over the centuries, its successive owners have shaped a unique place, marked by ties to royalty, literature, and gastronomy, particularly during the time when the château belonged to Colette Lenôtre in the late 1990s. The vineyard now spans 19 hectares in the Haut-Médoc AOP, supplemented by 2 hectares in the Margaux AOP acquired in 1992. A family-run estate, Château Meyre has always combined a commitment to quality with respect for the environment, becoming one of the pioneers of organic farming in the Médoc. After several years of sustainable viticulture, the transition to organic farming began in 2011. The finesse and elegance of the wines were recognized in 2020 with the Cru Bourgeois Supérieur designation.
