François and Anne Tardy thrive on the slopes of Chanos-Curson, an extension of the Hermitage anticline, with a clear commitment to producing wines that are straightforward, vibrant, and authentic. François tends his vines according to the principles of organic farming, enriched with a touch of philosophy and biodynamic practices, from the vineyard to the cellar, with respect for living organisms and careful yield management. Patience is a key value at the estate, allowing the wines to find their true expression. Their specialty is producing Crozes-Hermitage wines that are pure, healthy, straightforward, and racy, as described by the RVF. Some appreciate them in their youth for the crispness and lusciousness of the fruit, others for their aging potential. The top-tier cuvées Les Pends, grown on clay-limestone soils, and Les Machonnières, made from old vines, produce deep and elegant wines capable of aging for about ten years. The estate has been certified organic since 2012.
