Domaine Prés-Lasses was founded in 1999 when two friends with a passion for wines of character came together in the heart of the Faugères appellation. The vineyard now spans 30 hectares, 27 of which are in production, with numerous old vines, notably 7 hectares of Carignan, some of which were planted as early as 1910. Situated on the rugged terrain of the outer foothills of the Cévennes, the vines are cultivated using organic farming methods to preserve their long-term viability and the wines’ distinct character. The grapes are harvested by hand and carefully sorted; winemaking follows a classic, minimally interventionist approach, with no oenological additives except for small doses of sulfites. Aging is a long and meticulous process, lasting 18 to 24 months in concrete tanks and French oak barrels. The estate seeks to produce fine, complex wines designed to accompany fine dining—wines capable of aging and true to the expression of the terroir and each vintage. Since 2016, the estate has opened a wine cellar, guest rooms, and a wellness area, extending the Prés-Lasses experience in a spirit of sharing and conviviality.
