Our opinion on the cuvée
Elegant nose of white fruits and lightly toasted notes. Full-bodied and balanced palate, driven by a beautiful freshness. Long and refined finish.
Domaine Jessiaume is a historic vineyard located in Santenay (21590), in the Côte de Beaune region. Established in 1850 by the Jessiaume family, it spans approximately 15 hectares across Santenay, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, Auxey-Duresses, and Chassey-le-Camp. Its largest parcel is Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières. The estate was acquired in 2007 by Sir David Murray and then taken over in 2020 by Dr. Jean-François Le Bigot, with the technical team led by William Waterkeyn. The viticulture is organic, featuring manual harvests and winemaking practices that respect the terroir.
The red wines are made from Pinot Noir, and the white wines from Chardonnay, with a few parcels of Aligoté. Appellations include Santenay, Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières, Auxey-Duresses, Beaune, Pommard, Volnay, and other regional Burgundian appellations. The wines are renowned for their finesse, balance, and aromatic expression of the terroir.
