Domaine Ménard Gaborit
Located in the heart of the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation, Domaine Ménard-Gaborit is one of the historic landmarks of the Nantes wine region. The estate is now run by the Ménard-Gaborit family, heirs to several generations of winemakers dedicated to a precise and exacting understanding of the Melon de Bourgogne grape. The vineyard is cultivated using organic farming methods, with particular attention paid to soil health and the expression of the terroirs.
The vineyards are primarily planted on gneiss and amphibolite soils, two of the region’s defining geological features, which give the wines their mineral character, structure, and aging potential. Vineyard management focuses on controlled yields and optimal ripeness to preserve the grape variety’s natural freshness while enhancing its depth.
