Our opinion on the cuvée
This wine boasts a deep, intense purple color with violet hues. On the nose, it reveals mineral aromas of chalk and flint, enhanced by notes of coconut, fresh spices, and tobacco. On the palate, the balance is perfect, with fine tannins and natural acidity that bring freshness and liveliness. The finish reveals roasted aromas that prolong the pleasure of tasting. A rich and complex wine, both light and full of character.
Located on the heights of Le Beausset, a few kilometers from Bandol, Domaine La Font des Pères is set within a landscape of steep terraces, patiently shaped over centuries. Here, the vine is never separated from its location: it interacts with the slope, the stone, and the light, in an environment as demanding as it is spectacular.
The site's history dates back to the 16th century, when Observant monks settled on these lands rich in natural springs. They developed food crops and the first vineyards there, giving the place its name: 'la Font' for water, and 'les Pères' for those who cultivated it. This historical dimension continues to shape the estate's identity, deeply rooted in its environment.
