Located in Touraine, on the banks of the Cher, Château de Fontenay is an estate whose viticultural history dates back to the late 17th century. The first vines are documented as early as 1680, while the château, rebuilt at the end of the 19th century after a fire, now forms an ancient heritage complex at the heart of a wooded park.
The estate was taken over in 2006 by the Carli family, who partnered with Didier Corby, already in charge of the vineyard as an artisan winemaker. This collaboration fostered a continuity of style, based on respect for previous work and a faithful interpretation of the Touraine terroirs. Vineyard management adheres to a sustainable approach, mindful of the environment and soil longevity.
