Domaine de l'Envol

Domaine de l'Envol

Alsace | France

Domaine de l'Envol is, above all, the symbiosis of two estates and several human stories. On one side, the family vineyard of Bernard, Manuela, Daniel, and Catherine Hirsinger; on the other, Maison Jean Freudenreich, taken over and passionately managed by Raphaël Marchal. Both pioneers in bottled wine sales, they chose to unite in 2016 to create a single estate, faithful to their shared values. First, authenticity, with biodynamically managed vines, free of chemical products, respecting all living things. Then, conviviality, by pooling their expertise, experiences, and vision of wine. Here, the objective is simple: to bottle living grapes using natural methods and without artifice, to preserve the integrity of the grape variety. They appreciate honest, straightforward, indulgent wines with flavor and substance. What deeply motivates them is also mutual aid and sharing, pillars of the wine world: advice, loaned tools, and knowledge transfer between winemakers. Across a mosaic of twenty hectares of terroirs, Raphaël, Daniel, and Catherine craft cuvées with strong identities, capable of evoking as much emotion during tasting as they feel every day in producing their wines.
