Our opinion on the vintage
This wine has a deep, clear, dark purple color. On the nose, aromas of red and black fruits unfold, notably blackcurrant buds and redcurrants, with a floral touch of lilac. On the palate, the balance between finesse and acidity is perfect, offering a beautifully integrated structure and abundant flavors. The finish reveals notes of cherry, providing a simple and pleasing sweetness. Enjoy now; this wine will perfectly complement white or red meat without sauce, or cheeses and charcuterie.
Located on the hills of Tresses, at the immediate gates of Bordeaux, Château Lauduc is a family property run by the Grandeau family since 1923. The estate now spans approximately 60 hectares in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, an area known for its gentle slopes, clay-limestone soils, and potential for balanced and consistent wines.
The vineyard benefits from a high-altitude location, promoting good natural ventilation and gradual grape ripening. This implantation helps preserve the freshness of the balance, especially in hot vintages. Traditional Bordeaux grape varieties make up the plantings, with a central place given to Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc depending on the plots.
The estate's management follows a structured environmental approach. HVE certified and committed to converting to organic farming since 2019, the vineyard is meticulously cultivated with particular attention paid to soil management, reducing inputs, and ensuring consistent quality from one vintage to another.
