Château Ferran

Château Ferran

Bordeaux | France

Located in Haut-Benauge, in the heart of Entre-deux-Mers, Château Ferran is a human-sized estate surrounded by woods and plots deliberately left wild. This preserved environment plays a central role in the vineyard's balance and naturally limits external influences.

Julien Ferran has managed his 20 hectares organically since 2000, and later biodynamically, with meticulous soil work, regular plowing, and winemaking conducted with indigenous yeasts. The lunar calendar guides some of the cellar decisions, reflecting a philosophy of respecting natural rhythms rather than seeking specific effects.

The vineyard blends typical Bordeaux red and white grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc for the reds; Sémillon and Muscadelle for the whites. The wines prioritize fruit purity, understated balance, and a sincere expression of the terroir, without excessive technical intervention.

A discreet, coherent estate, driven by a committed approach and genuine attention to living organisms, offering a unique and serene interpretation of the Bordeaux region.
