In the heart of Saint-Émilion—which bears its former name, Ascumbas, the name of the place before the arrival of the monk Émilion—this 5.3-hectare estate in Saint-Émilion Grand Cru is a rarity: a single, contiguous parcel that nonetheless reveals a wide variety of soils, ranging from clay-siliceous to sandy. This allows for blends of remarkable complexity.

Acquired in 2013 by the Gintrac family along with consulting oenologist Hervé Romat, the estate produces a wine designed for aging, made from vines averaging 45 years old. Located next to Château La Fleur Morange, a newly classified Grand Cru Classé, the quality of the terroir is indisputable—and our customers have quickly snapped up every vintage.
