Domaine de Loye

Loire | France

Valentin Moindrot was born and raised at Domaine de Loye in Morogues, allowing him to witness the estate's evolution and expansion through technological advancements. Early on, he chose to become a winemaker, driven by the desire to work closely with the nature that has surrounded him since childhood.

At Domaine de Loye, the wines are crafted to be simple, light, and fruity: enjoyable, easy-drinking wines that prioritize sharing and authenticity. Every step, from vine to vinification, is carried out with passion to ensure quality wines, free from artifice or unnecessary protocols.

Since his return to the estate, Valentin has dedicated himself to upholding the adage: "A healthy vine ensures a quality wine." The hillsides have been grassed over to control vine vigor and erosion, and yields are progressively managed to promote optimal ripeness in each parcel. Harvesting is initiated parcel by parcel based on maturity progression, and green harvesting is practiced when potential allows.

The 15-hectare estate, managed by Jean-Bernard Moindrot and his son Valentin, benefits from clay-limestone soils and ideal hillside exposure. These conditions give rise to aromatic, light, and pleasant wines, reflecting the estate's philosophy: rigorous work dedicated to authentic and accessible wines.
