Expert Opinion
A Loire red just as we like them: light, vibrant, and incredibly convivial.
A brief carbonic maceration of about a week brings forth bright, crisp, almost juicy fruit. In the glass, it reveals notes of fresh red berries, a spicy hint typical of the grape variety, and a light structure that immediately invites another sip.

An easy-drinking yet precise red, full of energy, perfectly suited for joyful gatherings and lingering aperitifs!
Perfect with a charcuterie board, soft cheeses, quiche, or savory tart.
In short, the ultimate wine for friends!!

This cuvée is produced from Pineau d'Aunis vines, a grape variety we particularly appreciate for its finesse.

Olivier vinifies it delicately, with a brief carbonic maceration of about a week before pressing, followed by tank aging, to preserve the fluidity and crisp fruit that make this cuvée the perfect wine to enjoy with friends under the arbor!!

Pineau d'Aunis is a little-known grape variety that is very light in color and alcohol content, but offers peppery aromas that are particularly pleasant in this cuvée from Domaine de la Piffaudière.

Estate Anecdotes Many day-trippers stop for a strategic break at our estate. Rumor has it that wine is offered on tap... This is also what makes the estate what it is today: these ephemeral encounters that inspire us and help us grow. The short history of the estate Domaine de la Piffaudière is the story of an atypical Loire estate. Olivier, the winemaker, has been cultivating an 8-hectare vineyard located on the hillsides of the Cher Valley in Monthou since 2008. Olivier is somewhat of a master craftsman winemaker, producing precise and unique wines through organic viticulture. This Loire winemaker methodically vinifies wines from various grape blends such as Chenin Noir, Cot, Gamay, Cabernet Franc, and Chenin. All these efforts are guided by his principle: "to craft zero-defect wines." The work we do at La Piffaudière is the result of passionate individuals. I strive to craft my cuvées with as much precision as possible to offer delicate and exceptional "tasting" experiences. The golden rule is to ban all chemical inputs to reveal the full subtlety of the soils. The natural wines demonstrate beautiful maturity and a particular balance that sets them apart from wines produced through conventional viticulture. Nature, at the heart of everything, offers its best elixirs to delight our taste buds: this is the magic of the Loire terroirs. These are quality wines to offer all your guests, whether they are initiated into natural wines or not. You will surely leave this experience converted!
