Our opinion on the cuvée
This Coteaux de l'Ardèche offers a fresh and fruity nose, highlighting notes of red berries. On the palate, its lightness is pleasing, with soft tannins that provide a beautiful balance to the whole. The texture is silky and the finish is harmonious, leaving a sensation of freshness on the palate. A simple and pleasant wine, ideal for accompanying light, summery dishes.
Based in Rosières, in the Ardèche region, Les Sept Pierres takes its name from the department’s seven appellations: Saint-Joseph, Cornas, Condrieu, Saint-Péray, Vivarais, Côtes du Rhône, and Coteaux de l’Ardèche. Its clear ambition: to reveal the potential of a region that remains relatively unknown, through a lineup built around Syrah and Viognier, complemented by bold choices—Pinot Noir and Riesling grown on cool sandstone soils.
François Tissot, who trained at renowned estates (Château Belgrave, Château Paradis), has been running this estate since 2012 with a single focus: preserving biodiversity and finding ever more sustainable methods. The Cévennes foothills and their high elevations give the wines a liveliness and freshness that clearly set them apart within the Rhône wine region.
