Our opinion on the cuvée
Elegant nose of cherry, raspberry, and subtle woody notes. Fine, silky, and balanced palate. Persistent and refined finish.
Established in 1990 in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, just outside Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Olivier Gard is run by Manuel Olivier on approximately 11 hectares. The estate cultivates, among other things, a plot of Aligoté that has historically been linked to the region’s berries—blackcurrants, raspberries, and strawberries—which the family continues to grow and sell directly to consumers.
The Aligoté Vieilles Vignes white wines—clean, crisp, and mineral-driven—embody an unpretentious approach focused on the grape variety’s freshness and character. One notable feature: Manuel Olivier also offers his wines under the name “Manuel Olivier”—but our exclusive selection under the Olivier Gard label avoids any direct competition. Our entry-level wines in the Côte de Nuits regional AOP.
