Our opinion on the cuvée
This Sémillon wine is a delightful discovery to complement your meals. Its pale yellow color suggests fruity and citrus notes on the nose, delivering a lovely freshness on the palate. Balanced and with good body, it can be enjoyed at any time, whether as an aperitif or paired with fish and white meats. Its longevity of 2-3 years makes it an ideal companion for future tastings.
Located on the Cérons plateau, in the historical heart of Graves, Domaine du Salut has been managed by Aurélia and Frédéric since 2015. The vineyard lies on highly permeable sandy-gravelly soils, originating from an ancient tributary bed of the Garonne, with a sub-layer rich in nutrients and naturally high biological activity.
Upon their arrival, the couple initiated a structured environmental approach. The white grape parcels are cover-cropped (oats, vetch, clover) to enrich the soil with organic matter and promote natural nitrogen input, contributing to the aromatic development of the grapes. No herbicides are used; soil cultivation prioritizes traditional mechanical practices, adapted to the specific nature of each parcel. The estate has been Terra Vitis certified since 2015 and converted to organic farming starting in 2020.
