Located in a lovely terroir in the southern part of the appellation, Maison du Villard faces west and enjoys ample sunshine, which allows the grapes to ripen beautifully and develop excellent balance. Aged in concrete tanks for 15 months on the lees.

Our opinion on the cuvée
An elegant bouquet of white flowers, pear, and a hint of butter. The palate is full-bodied, precise, and driven by a lovely mineral edge. The finish is long and briny, making it ideal with fish or creamy poultry dishes.
Located at the crossroads of the Mâconnais and Beaujolais regions, Château de Lavernette embodies a rare blend of millennia-old heritage and cutting-edge winemaking. A former seigneury founded in 1596, the estate is now run by Xavier de Boissieu—the thirteenth generation—and his wife Kerrie, an American oenologist who holds the WSET Diploma.
Since 2005, the 13.5-hectare vineyard has been cultivated using organic and biodynamic farming methods, with a level of precision that places Lavernette among the most distinguished producers in the Pouilly-Fuissé appellation. Their shared journeys through vineyards around the world have imbued the estate with a rare sensibility: wines of aromatic clarity and terroir-driven precision unlike any others.
