Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec

Languedoc

Located in Coursan, south of the Aude, Domaine Ricardelle de Lautrec is set within a historically rich landscape, at the crossroads of La Clape, Minervois, and Corbières. The Via Domitia runs alongside the vineyards, serving as a reminder that this territory has produced wine for centuries. The estate's 50 hectares benefit from multiple influences, including the Mediterranean, garrigue, and dry winds, which naturally shape its balance.

In 1999, Lionel Boutié, a fourth-generation winemaker, made the demanding choice of organic farming, followed by biodynamics. Marginal at the time, this decision proved foundational: the soils regained vitality, biodiversity re-established itself, even leading to the return of large animals and birds of prey, which have become a strong indicator of the estate's health.

Demeter certified, the work today is based on a keen observation of natural rhythms and a pursuit of global harmony. Cultivation practices aim to enhance soil vitality and the true expression of the grapes, without forcing ripeness or smoothing out profiles.

The wines reflect this approach through frank, intense yet balanced expressions, where depth does not preclude clarity. These are cuvées deeply rooted in their landscape, driven by a committed and acknowledged vision of living organisms.
