Our opinion on the cuvée
This wine truly embodies conviviality and simplicity. Its pale yellow hue with brilliant reflections heralds an enticing nose of anise, lemon, and vine peach. On the palate, the attack is direct, offering a pleasant, lingering citrus freshness. Perfect for an aperitif or a fish dish, yet feel free to enjoy it as you wish; it is sure to captivate you.
Located in Roussillon, between maritime influences and the Pyrenean foothills, Domaine Rière Cadène is a family estate whose viticultural history dates back to the early 20th century. The estate took its current form in 1994 when Laurence and Jean-François Rière took over the family's inherited vineyard and began extensive work on parcel quality and terroir interpretation.
The vineyard is spread across several complementary sectors of Roussillon, offering great geological diversity.
The white grapevines are located in Espira-de-l’Agly, on black schist and marl soils, which impart tension and depth to the wines.
The structured red wines originate from the limestone terraces of Calce, a terroir recognized for its capacity to produce dense yet balanced wines.
The more fruit-forward red wines come from the rolled pebbles of the Têt valley, around Perpignan, imparting suppleness and immediate fruit character.
