Grown in the hills above Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, this cuvée thrives on black schist soils at an altitude of nearly 280 meters. This terroir lends tension and freshness to this blend of white and gray Grenache and Macabeu.
Hand-harvested, the grapes are pressed as whole clusters and then partially fermented in 500-liter barrels, followed by six months of aging on fine lees. This meticulous process imparts complexity, volume, and elegance to the wine, while preserving a beautiful aromatic expression.

Our opinion on the cuvée
A beautiful, bright pale yellow color with green highlights. Its nose of citrus, mint, and
garrigue also reveals floral notes of hawthorn. The palate extends this fresh, aromatic profile
with a balance between the liveliness of the Macabeu and the roundness and richness of the white and
gray Grenache varieties. Serve very chilled (10–12°C) as an aperitif, with shellfish and grilled or sauced fish.
Located in Roussillon, Clos des Vins d’Amour is a family vineyard whose origins date back to 1860. Currently operated by the Dornier family, the estate spans three major and complementary sectors: Tautavel, Maury, and Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet, all characterized by demanding schist soils, emblematic of northern Roussillon.
The vineyard is predominantly planted with Grenache (black, grey, and white), complemented by old-vine Carignan, as well as Macabeu and Syrah depending on the plots. These contrasting terroirs allow for a nuanced interpretation of Maury appellations, encompassing both dry wines and vins doux naturels, with a constant focus on balance rather than overt expression.
Organic farming, initiated in 2008, is part of a holistic approach to living organisms. Soil cultivation is predominantly manual, attuned to natural rhythms and biodiversity. The objective is not intervention for its own sake, but the pursuit of sustainable balance
