Our opinion on the cuvée

Aroma of black cherry and spices. Well-structured, fresh, and balanced on the palate. A lingering, elegant finish.

Domaine Celine et Frédéric Gueguen

Domaine Céline et Frédéric Gueguen

Loire | France

Established in 2013, Domaine Céline et Frédéric Gueguen is located in the Chablis region and the Grand Auxerrois. Coming from winemaking families, Céline and Frédéric Gueguen chose to establish their own estate to cultivate local terroirs with an independent approach, focused on precision and the quality of the raw material.

The vineyard comprises over 35 plots spread across several communes, including Chablis, Chichée, Saint-Bris-le-Vineux, and Irancy. This geographical diversity allows for the cultivation of varied soil profiles, predominantly Kimmeridgian clay-limestone, which are particularly well-suited to the expression of Chardonnay in the region.

Vineyard work is central to the estate's approach, with constant attention paid to grape quality and ripeness management. Vinification aims to faithfully reflect the diversity of the terroirs, employing precise and measured practices, without seeking artifice.
