Our opinion on the vintage
This wine is a true favorite for lovers of freshness and vibrancy. Its straw-yellow color with green highlights promises an intense sensory experience. On the nose, notes of English candy, grapefruit, and exotic fruits instantly transport you. On the palate, the lively and fresh attack reveals subtle aromas of lemon, leading to a fresh and lingering finish. Perfect to accompany your summer dishes, this wine will brighten up your meals with effortless elegance.
Located in Bas-Armagnac, near Eauze, Domaine de Laballe is a family estate whose winemaking history dates back to 1820. The estate is situated on the "Sables Fauves" (Tawny Sands), a characteristic terroir of Bas-Armagnac, renowned for its ability to produce fine and fresh brandies, as well as wines with a balanced profile.
Historically focused on Armagnac, the estate masters the entire production chain, from vine to bottling. This technical mastery forms an important foundation for the development of its wines, which began in the 1980s. The plots dedicated to wine are located on terroirs in the Landes and Gascony regions, benefiting from sandy, well-drained soils, favorable for freshness and aromatic precision.
Currently managed by Cyril and Julie Laudet, the estate is committed to sustainable viticulture, transitioning to organic farming and implementing agroforestry practices. These choices aim to preserve soil balance and the vineyard's resilience in a demanding climate.
