Certified organic since 2009, Laurent’s team aspires to elevate their wines to the rank of Languedoc Grands Crus. Offering an authentic approach that respects the terroir, the estate’s two organically farmed vineyards produce unique wines, Terret Bourret, a forgotten local grape variety, reveals aromas of white-fleshed fruits in this fresh and invigorating wine, ideal for pairing with oysters from the Thau Lagoon.

Domaine de la Dourbie

Established in 1781, Domaine de la Dourbie is located on the right bank of the Hérault river, at the foot of the Causse du Larzac. The estate takes its name from the Dourbie, a local river that flows through the vineyard before joining the Hérault. This geographical position places the estate in a transitional zone, benefiting from both Mediterranean influences and cooler climates associated with higher altitude.
The vineyard has been managed organically since 2009 and is divided into two distinct sections. Approximately 20 hectares surround the main estate, while a second plot of about 12 hectares is situated at nearly 300 meters above sea level in the Rouveyrolles valley. This area, surrounded by garrigue, benefits from a more temperate microclimate, promoting gradual ripening and naturally fresher balances.
Work in both the vineyard and the cellar is carried out entirely on-site, with particular attention paid to manual harvesting and grape sorting. Vinifications aim to preserve the identity of the two terroirs, seeking a clear expression of fruit and soil transparency, without resorting to artifice.
Domaine de la Dourbie's cuvées reflect this dual origin, combining the generosity of Languedoc with a tension imparted by altitude and diverse exposures. The overall work offers a coherent and deeply rooted interpretation of the Hérault valley, based on organic farming, masterful vinification, and the enhancement of complementary terroirs.
